Here is deposited/the body of/Captain/GEORGE SIDNEY SMITH/of the Royal Navy/who died 13 th September 1832 in the 40 th year of his age. Verse from Psalm xxxviii
Died from Cholera. James Welch aged 58 Captain G. Smith R.N. aged 39, Francis Cole, aged 45 Cholera reached Bridport early in 1832 and in August 3 cases occurred in Charmouth.
