The
Old Building (T.N.488) in the Garden of Shrapnell House
"Also
all that Messuage or Tenement Situate at the Bottom of a place called "Nowhere
Lane" in Bradford aforesaid with the New Building adjoining and Appurtenances
belonging now in the occupation and renting of Richard Sheppard"Will of Zachariah
Shrapnell 1794. Richard Sheppard is described as a Victualler and at this time
renting tithe no. 454 (now Rialto) which was known as the "French Horn".
It was owned by James Warren who ran the Walcott Brewery in Bath.
The
building ,Tithe no. 488, as it was in 1841 seperate from Shrapnell House (t.n.456)
with its own access from Nowhere Lane on to St. Margarets Hill
The
remains of the House in the corner of the Garden today with its fireplaces and
windows still to be seen
