Will of John Shrapnell 1728

I John Shrapnell of Bradford in the County of Wiltshire Cloth Drawer do make this my last will and testament in manner following: Imprimus I give unto my Wife Anne Shrapnell my houses with their appurtenances at or near a place called Morgans Hill now in the several tenures and possessions of Thomas Moody, Richard King, Walter Williams and the widow Harvey and her son for and during so many years of my term and Estate therein as she shall happen to live and after her decease I give to my Nephew Joseph Shrapnell the said houses with their appurtenances now in the possession of the said Thomas Moody and Richard King the residue of my term and Estate therein provided he leaves any issue of his body living at the time of his decease and my other two houses above mentioned with their appurtenances after my said wife's decease I give to my Niece Grace Shrapnell for the residue of my term and estate therein provided she leaves any issue of her body living at the time of her decease but if either of them my said nephew and niece shal1 die without such issue as aforesaid then I give the said houses With their appurtenances of such of them so dying without such Issue to the survivor of them and if such survivor shall die without such issue as aforesaid then I give all the said houses with their appurtenances unto my said cousin John Shrapnell of Bradford aforesaid, Clothier and his assigns for the residue of my term and Estate herein an the rest of my goods, chattels, moneys, Towels, Plate and Personal Estate I give to my said Wife and do make her sole executor of this my will- l6th October 1728- John Shrapnell, in presence of William Pryor, Brewer.
