The Rosery

The cottage below again originally had windows looking down the street but are now only visible from the inside as they were obscured when the next door was enlarged. This house was built on a site of two old cottages with outside stone steps leading to the top room used as a store or barn.Richard Oliver of Langport bought the property and built "The Rosery" which stood well back from the street. He sold it to a Mr, Alfred who added a wing thus bringing the house forward obscuring the windows as mentioned above. The front door was in the facing the street and railings with the picture.
